My Love for photography began at a very young age where a very tiny me would dress up and fashion my even tinier sisters, and make them sit still while I staged and posed them into the perfect portrait to my six year old mind. My devotion to the arts continued through my childhood as I expanded into painting and drawing, and later, mixed media and sculpture. Years of practice and experimentation in use of color and tone, light and shadow, line and gesture all accumulated and were refined as I invested my time and energy, and applied everything I had learned in my lifetime of observation, into art studies at the University of Central Florida and Florida International University.
It was during my collegiate experience that I was reacquainted with photography, but at the professional level, when I spent some time as a freelance model. There I quickly realized I was on the wrong side of the camera! My inquisition into every aspect of photography, from set construction to equipment options, led me deep into a formal photography education and finally to acquiring instruments and accoutrements of my own.
Today, I pride myself on bringing out the very best in people through portraiture, applying all of my accumulated understandings of composure and artistic expression that is equally as about describing the subject as it is defining an atmosphere. I'm all about mood. In my free time I like to garden, hang out with my boyfriend and Nala, who is my dog and best bud, start paintings I'll probably never finish, and edit. Edit edit edit.
